Don't Kick the Devil
By 1stpoet
Don’t Kick the Devil Tempting fate tempting is the thought to control to form one’s own world and rule it how does one truly transform that which is around and conform normalcy into insanity the world is a crazy place no rhyme or reason except in poetry where there is some structure to the chaos we paint with words in pain we ponder we swim in fear we float on dreams and crash when we awaken to the sounds of voices within our minds our own little demon tempting us teasing us to write we are vexed to venture to the unknown of what words we will write I do not kick the devil but I do thank my muse for these stirrings that never stop and the tasty torture of screaming when the words again speak © Copyright 2002 1st Poet Inc.
