Famished
By 1stpoet
Famished I thought I was hungry yet my tongue could not speak of the flavor I needed the store beckoned, and I went purchasing everything from shrimp to salad wine and maple syrup rice, and prime rib When I got home I prepared a feast for kings a spread upon the table grand candles, soft music, and incense Yes, to fall to the delicate delicacies that awaited But my mouth would not open I thought I needed entertainment the radio, TV, VCR, and dvd were all on a stereophonic colony hopefully to cleanse my brain give me peaceful thoughts again But my eyes could not see I thirsted for love could I drink in the beauty of a woman could I taste the sweet dew upon lips the sweat (salt so needed) lapped from between breasts and would passage be granted to the passageway to physical heaven I only saw my own reflection in the mirror I took in a deep breath, closed my eyes relaxed and decided to sleep In slumber I found dreams that satiated all sensations And I woke again Full. © Copyright 2002 1st Poet Inc.
