Knighthood
By 1stpoet
Knighthood I was given the duty to slay souls not bringing death, but renewing life words sharpened as a broadsword, the tool I use mountains crumble to the steps my steed takes rivers crossed by bridging thoughts dragons drop their scales, those tears you shed when I cut you with love’s touch or run you through with fear thrusted strongly by language that only you can feel my armor is open, a link of text that even with holes is stronger than titanium more valuable than gold, and treasured within my mind I joust with fairies in the night my pen chases their flight across the page and the streaks become blended into words I carry the colors of my muse the black silk shrouds me the presence of all colors, blended, light, wind, fire, passion, all captured in a garment that flows behind me as I ride follow me, ride dragon wind at midday catch the moon in your hands drink from rivers of crystal bathe in my words. © Copyright 2001 1st Poet Inc.
