Limbless

Limbless I am called a vagrant slovenly seated upon my chair Vagary is my only hope for dreams are all I have My legs, gone, I no longer run like the wind more so with the wind, breezes blown through lips as hips ache Arms that long to feel again reach within my mind, fingers clutch at memories of how you felt As the wheels of dreams past roll by Softly spoken come your words and I am moved The shell seen shatters silently as you kneel and kiss my lips I feel refreshed I take you with me upon my chariot cobblestones become as clouds and together we ride the wind William S. DawesI saw a man with no legs while I was out one evening. He and his date were on the dancefloor, and the whole world seemed to dissapear to them, and I watched and wrote this.
