Maiden Voyage
By 1stpoet
Maiden Voyage He called her the Emerald Sunset for her eyes were as blue as the ocean and her hair the color of sunsets she was his new vessel anchored and weathered from storms there were cracks in her hull, and the brass was tarnished Yet to him, she was divine When the weight was lifted from the floor of the ocean of tears she was berthed in the winds of his song filled her heart like a sail she moved slowly at first saying Captain, my Captain there are rocks and storms beyond the shoreline I feel the journey is not safe He calmed her with a steady hand on the wheels of her mind steering her clear of the breaking waves that before had caused shipwreck Onto the open seas they ventured hoping to find the lands of Nirvana that lived in the mind of dreams William S.
