Meaning of Life

Meaning of life I ventured to the mountain To climb and find the guru Who held the meaning Of life Through ice cold streams of thought Over boulders of suppressed emotions I trod upwards Searching Through clouds of stormy memories I passed Into the glow of happier days The warmth of my life Before me I saw skeletons that had been long dead Now remembered for an instant As I dusted the bones Yet left them undisturbed And upon reaching the summit I found the guru As I sat content Beside myself William Dawes Copyright 2000 Written January 26th, 2002 © on Jan 26 2002 08:53 AM PST   0 • 12
