Peeling
By 1stpoet
Peeling Pain is the paint you wear so well your face and eyes darkened by the shadows cast from your mind is there a candle a flicker of hope somewhere to be found to spark new thoughts of belief that you are good worth life and the love of a fine man such as me if I could take this skin the tarnished white that coats you peel it and sand down the cracks and crevices that are etched in your soul Fill you with smooth tenderness edges rounded….no more sharp corners giving pain How do I brush this new color blush of life green of desire yellow of hope a rainbow for you to wish upon again reach out let the rain bend my sunlight peel away the clouds from your eyes I am that pot of gold you wish for © Copyright 2002 1st Poet Inc.
