Poetic Banquet(with Photo)

Poetic Banquet Oh to dine on words so fine laid out as in a feast where the tongue forms thoughts into spoken words as eyes capture flavors from the page an horsd’oeuvres the first line, temptingly taunting begging for one to bite finger foods carved so delicately then the blend where emotion and desire want and rhythm all come together as a consommé swallowed deliciously the hunger grows, and the reader goes on to the main course where the meat of the poem robust, hot, and juicy awaits the tender tendrils traverse through the mind causing satiation in the final lines the sweet icing upon spun words bring closure to a banquet © Copyright 2001 1st Poet Inc.
