Racing Mind My mind is set for speed I question if I shall succeed on capturing the seed of inspiration oh thoughts, please don’t erode for the rubber must hit the road within, I feel emotions explode words form My heart sets the pace there is a smile upon my face I start filling the blank space on paper I move my pen with motions intense I feel as if I am riding near the fence from opening my self there is no defense to rhyming and as I round this one last curve I pray I won’t loose my nerve I must stay focused and not swerve and crash so a pen forms line by line this victory feels so fine I get drunk as if on wine from writing © Copyright 2001 1st Poet Inc.
