Sun Sounds
By 1stpoet
Sun Sounds Sit and listen to the sounds around the cars, birds, planes the noises that make the day loud upon the ears manholes rattle as traffic passes horns, and bells people talking as if oblivious to the world around them I look upon the fire in the evening and think about the sounds the sun must produce the crackles and roar, distant so many miles I feel the heat upon my face as I smile even in the depth of space the Earth inhabits, the cold vastness of black surrounds and I wonder where is the tap upon tympanic membranes that all else is heard with my ears do not perk and I realize space is a vacuum where sound does not travel air must be stirred for me to hear a whisper if not for this we may be deaf © Copyright 2001 1st Poet Inc.
