Shadows (a poem on being deceived) I see you in the shadows my love from days gone by then those emotions come crashing I fall to my knees and I cry My mind is looking for light yet there is darkness all around in music and in thunder your voice is the only sound sometimes when I am sleeping and dream of castles in the glen I roll over on my side and you are with me once again I often wonder of the freedom of love and moving on but then in the wind I hear your whisper and all becomes undone I know that you are with him and that I should not care yet my mind goes on a fantasy is this something I could share without a shadow of a doubt I mustloose you from my life the only questions that remain is it as friend or enemy....not wife you open up your heart and see shadows in your thought you come to me for answers are we doing what we ought I only have so much strength the sunlight is growing dim will you rest calmly in my shadows or go on seeing him © Copyright 2002 1st Poet Inc.
