Water
By 1stpoet
Water I looked out upon the lake to the fountain a tornado shaped volume of water sending a volcano of whispers into the air As I saw each bead cascade to the surface a bullet sending splashes sprawling towards space this vortex of spray held back by gravity from reaching the clouds rained a harmonious echo to my ears I pictured each diamond-like droplet as miniature rainbows I could wish upon and the lake a treasure to swim in it shimmers as gold with the sun lapping upon its surface It resembles a dance as the fountain unfurls waves as sails are satiated by wind I rest. © Copyright 2001 1st Poet Inc.
