Exit WoundNo IHaven’t heardmuch about it latelythat’s a country somewherein Indochina isn’t it or maybesomewhere else I remember it wasin the newspapers when I was a kidsomething about guerrillas or bad crops or something like that no I don’t recall if I’ve seenanything on CNN about it not that I watch CNN very much the news is always so depressing all those kidseverywhere with nothing to eat and being shot at it justmakes me sick after all I’m a mother my kids are six andtwelve Meredith the oldest she’s still in ballet and verygood at it and Ashley the youngest well she’s justhell on wheels that kid she’s gonna be pretty hardto handle when she’s older so what is this allabout in this country again is it another famine or a drought or something about one bunch fighting anotherbunch oh my I find it very hard to keep track of itall after all I’d like to be more involved but what with the kids and all I just can’t keep up withthe news tell me is there some charity I can send ten dollars to and do they have a website I can visit I have a third cousin whovisited that country once or was it thenext country over I’m not sure but shesaid it was just the most beautiful placeshe’d ever seen and the food wasso exotic I like spicy food myself soyou can imagine how upsetting itis to know that people there aresuffering I should find out whatthe government is doing tohelp those peoplethey reallyshouldOOOO Written October 21st, 2001 © on Oct 21 2001 01:15 AM PST   0 • 9
