Jeez I Love it / Hate It When This Happens The lovers proclaimed a state of love. Announcements were made to their assembled families. Legislatures of the soul Passed heartfelt resolutions of congratulation. Former lovers were found and killed: their services were no longer necessary. The lovers proclaimed a state of fear. Watching each other’s every moment, every motion, each suspected counterfeit bills within their overflowing vaults of love. Forensic scientists were asked to inspect the trail, and they found ghosts. The lovers proclaimed a state of emergency. Ambulances rushed to the scene filled with sympathetic paramedics skilled in matters of the cracking heart, Computer programmers began the task of finding what lethal virus of the passions could have infected them. The lovers Proclaimed A state of hate. That which once was charm was now betrayal. They sent each other pretty poisoned letters in the daily mail. Each sent emissaries to the other to negotiate the terms of war. We proclaim we are not lovers any more. Written November 12th, 2001 © on Nov 12 2001 10:15 AM PST   0 • 8
