Omnicarapace Looking for the mica egg Looking looking looking looking For the cutmaking keening voice Under the molasses rituals Looking under the cloak of flesh For the nub of holiness inside the snake Looking in looking glasses looking looking For the new erupted smell of birth again Book-looking looking For winged wisdom with no strings attached Looking looking through the microscope For the pananathema Looking O God looking for the mummified laughter Of hardened children Looking in nine dimensions For the one dimension we can trust Looking down throats of Guardians For gizzards filled with charitable pulp Lookie lookie here Looking for the blown off remnants of an omnipolar star Looking At the downwound clocks of the Enlightenment Looking above all below all looking For crystal spears piercing crystal spheres Looking looking In the iron maiden’s hope chest for erotic doilies Looking looking For love crazy as abandoned dogs Looking As if I had Eyes.We are a species that hunts for the impossible - the impossible love, the impossible cause, the impossible idea. Perhaps this quirk is one of our greatest virtues and greatest tragedies. Written November 14th, 2001 © on Nov 13 2001 03:09 PM PST   0 • 12
