Trading Places

Here you lie as death slowly consumes your body the pain evident on your face but you welcome it Embrace it Invite it to take you and I weep wishing I could take your place wanting to breath life into your blood hoping to see just one glimpse of the vibrant woman you once were praying that we can trade places so you can once again shine your wondorous light on all those who cross your path But as I look at your pale face the light is no longer evident as you grimace in pain I curse the fate and I weep Written December 27th, 2001 © on Dec 27 2001 12:20 AM PST   18 • 0 • 1
