Now I, Lay me, Down to sleep, I pray to you my soul to keep. And if I die before I wake, I pay to you my soul to take. Hey, I don’t know who’s hearing this, But it really doesn’t matter you see, I'll make a deal with you, I’ll never ask you for something for myself, And since I've given you my soul, I was just wondering if, If I happen live through the night, Whether you may consider Giving the world some peace, Just for one day, Not forever. I haven’t asked for anything that silly like Happiness, Popularity, Beauty, Love, My loved ones to be back with me, I’ve never asked for anything really. All I have ever asked for was Protection on the few pieces of family I have left, And world peace for one day. I don’t really care what happens to me But just grant me those two things And I’ll be ever so grateful for it. There are very few things I want, But what I do want is for everyone to be happy, Even if I’m not. Their happiness is all, I’ll ever need, It’s all anyone should ever need. Thank you!
