The Forgotten Book
On an old creaky table Covered in dust, There sits a book, Full of words that mean nothing anymore. Being ignored by as if it wasn't even there. No compassion is shown to this book, Not even after all the work it had done, To teach its readers about life, Love, And friendship. It gave its readers the feelings good conquering all endless bounds, And that anything is possible. So much hope came to the readers of this book, So much grew and blossomed in the minds of its readers, From just reading its wonderful stories, But now it's just forgotten and seen as nothing Left alone on this dust old table, Seen as nothing, And forgotten. Such a sad end To such a wonderful book.I hate to see good books going to waste. Written April 17th, 2002 © on Apr 17 2002 10:39 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
