Shining Ray
Recite this poem all alone and read it in a grieving tone its words are echoes of my moan and tears of raw depression Through destiny I met a girl she made my spirit dance and twirl as if I found a precious pearl amidst the deepest ocean Her parents named her "shining ray" her laugh creates the brightest day and blows the dark of night away she lights up all creation My soul surrounds her like a dome and in my heart I built her home and paved my veins for her to roam to soothe me with her motion Sometimes she asks me would you cry.. if suddenly I were to die ? or would you just release a sigh ? or pay me no attention ? I focused deep inside her eyes and wondered why such thoughts arise then told her that my heart denies.. to think of such a notion And as we sat upon a dune and looked towards the glowing moon reflecting on a calm lagoon and traded thoughts of passion She looked at me and shed a tear and said there's something you should hear although my love is so sincere and so is my devotion With cancer my own life's at stake and I don't want your heart to break so I should leave you for your sake before my sad conclusion My life was torn with what she said the moon so white had turned to red I carried in my pulsing head.. the sorrow of a nation I cursed the earth.. I cursed the skies I filled the silent night with cries and in my tears I drowned my eyes and felt the worst sensation In times of pain our souls are weak they melt and then they slowly leak.. throughout the eye then on the cheek as drops of pure emotion I had an urge to thrust my sword inside my chest to end my world then hold her as my blood is poured to die was my intention But then my faith in God awoke embracing me inside its cloak I called upon Him to invoke.. His mercy and compassion Then told her I will be your friend until the day my life will end so let our lonely spirits blend to form an endless fusion For everyday your face appears is worth a life of endless years so smile and let us wipe our tears and shun this sad illusion Lets look towards our future days and live them in most joyous ways and rest in God our trust and praise and cherish our affection Written October 8th, 2003 © on Mar 16 2001 03:13 AM PST 0 • 8
