Afraid of what?
By atia
She lies back Takes the music in And wonders If death was to come now, Would the feelings be frozen in time? A relentless calm pervades This is what life had been Acts for which she'd be accountable She had always known Shouldn't she have been fearful? And she shakes her head, 'God forbid!' And wonders if it really matters Perhaps a better place would wait Perhaps nothing really ends But then, she was never any good at taking risks Uncertainty had found a good home in her It's funny that no one had ever dared To stare into her eyes and ask flat out: 'What are you afraid of?' Everything! For some reason, I couldn't get myself to write this in the first person. I suppose that would make it much too personal than I can handle right now..
