"Glorious, I tell you. Glorious!" Even though I risk sounding like a preacher, With the same tone of undying conviction, Like I know what all the world need do For salvation. But you know we wouldn't need salvation If we had no life. So what came before? What brought the need to be alive? It was a beautiful day though, And I could go on for no other purpose Than those dark clouds Daring to touch me, And the rain That danced across my face As I breathed in And cared that I did. I ran under a falling sky, Tried to dampen all that wants me sane. Seems like I give you naught But the belief in lunacy. I wonder why I might even need infinite wisdom, When there has never been a better day. So I will not have seen it all But all that was meant for me - What makes my life a jest And what makes going stray All the more worthwhile. Who says life is to have a meaning? I live for the feeling...I owe this one to yesterday's thunderstorm :) Written February 2nd, 2002 © on Feb 02 2002 05:20 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
