Where are you now?Where were you then?You always let me downEvery time you lifted me upI had a dance recitalYou couldn’t get the carI had a singing rehearsalYou had to go to workI won an awardYour medicine knocked you outWhen I learned to play a chordYou sat and never listenedI scored the winning goalYou were home watching TVI got the leading roleYou missed the whole thingI look back at these timesAnd realized you were never thereYou work with all the criminalsBut to me you committed all the crimes.
