Floating away /challenge poem
Bubbling gently it slowly tinkles, Like laughter in the wind, Running playfully it carries a leaf, Tossing and turning it in the eddy's beneath. Nutty and fresh, it's odour carries me, To years gone by,as the sun glistens, Like rainbows moving in amongst a stone, As i watch the river running home. Cool and inviting, it makes me shiver, Crystal clear, i feel the taste, Of ice cold water upon my face, I feel my hair spreading out from me, Like fingers of water playing with my body, It plays a tune inside my mind, The rivers song is so divine.....
