Symbiosis

A partnering of living things, Of mutual needs, On which our loving feeds, Things I do for others you see, At heart I do because of me. The love you give, Is for your gain, You get reward for your pains, It’s not selfish this feeling that you get, It’s the purpose of loving to aid and abet. Give all yourself , To your fellow man, To receive as much love, as you can, For this love goes back into your giving, A perpetual circle, of mutual living. Be warned though it must be all, Part of you is not enough, Total commitment is always tough, But that is what is required you see, To gain the love that sets you free. Once accepted it’s easy you know, It’s not selfish or greedy this love to take, Your love is immense when with a soul mate, You give it all, to receive it back, It’s the understanding that is the knack. Be careful though, tread with care, You cannot choose which parts you hold, You must give it all, with love untold, Don’t think of it as a way to obtain, Because then the needs you’ll never gain. Once you learn to let things go, The love expands beyond each other It encompasses the world of one another, The more of you, you give away, The larger the expansion will grow by day. Forget the thinking, The love you give must be unconditional, Not he’s mine I’ll hold him, the old rational, You must just give, regardless to thoughts of you, Because that’s when real love will come shining through. Accept others faults, They cannot help that they are blind, But give them love and you will find, That once the feelings inside them seep, A new soul will emerge from its sleep. So start with yourself, You cannot help the world as a whole, Until you’ve learnt your own personal role, It’s not selfish, it’s just the reason we exist, To get love from another, so others we can assist.
