The purpose of Orgasm

By Barb Davidson

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

This is a hard one, to tell for me, Because it’s taboo, the subject you see, How can you talk of orgasm’s here? You’ll read the words and think I’m queer. Please feel what I say, don’t stop to think, Just read what you see and in it’ll sink, Take time to listen to what I say, Because I know this is the way. A man comes once to get satisfaction, A woman we know likes much more action, The coming climax is the vital part, It’s what gives us growth, from the heart. The orgasm is the connection you see, To the spiritual place, that sets us free, From the woman’s pleasure the man he gains, It’s with this in mind he has to aim. It’s really not just sex alone, It’s no good the coming, on it’s own, The connection happens in the mind, So a soul linked partner you must find. The pleasure you get, brings him excitement, Helping the man to find enlightenment, He in turn will see the joy it brings, To learn this way, to higher things. He’ll learn to give more, to obtain, From giving pleasure he can only gain, This is not a circle of magical sources, No mystery surrounds it, just loving forces. So though you maybe cannot agree, There must be a purpose for orgasm you see, The light-headedness and floating, that you feel, Is the pathway to freedom, I know it’s real.
