I threw flowers in that long ago Prague Spring. Flowers grew from tank guns, petals replaced bullets. We knew nothing of the Summer of Love the preceding year. Tanks don't make love only war. I threw flowers in that long ago Prague Spring. They wilted in the cold wind of totalitarian night. I don't throw flowers but I haven't forgotten the Prague Spring.A comment on the apparent democratisation of the then Czechoslovakia in 1968 - it's author, Alexander Dubcek was subsequently imprisoned by the USSR.
