There is a light at the end of this tunnel. Resisting I fight against the current, but I am constantly pushed forward despite my efforts. Helpless I slide further and closer to this light. I hear voices beyond, but I see nothing. This tunnel I am in is so soft and satin, and I do not want to leave, but I am forced to do so. I can feel the cold sting my eyes, and the pressure around gets tighter. I can still hear that constant beat behind me, but new sounds enter my ears with each moment. I feel two strong hands grab my head and pull. Nothing so powerful have I ever felt. Now I hear shouts and heavy breathing in pain. I want to go back to my home for so long, but I won't and I don't know why. The light is now blinding, and everything is cold. Suddenly I am struck hard so I let out a cry, "What is happening, and please tell me why." No one will answer and no one cares. Quickly I am wrapped and suffocated, but not for long as my head is uncovered, and all I see still is a blinding harsh light. I am lowered into arms and now I feel safe, for pleasant words are whispered my way. Lips touch my head, and now all is well, my mother, I know, will protect me for now. I enter this world, so scared and unsure, but now feel love, so simple and pure. Thank you Mom, for all you have done, a new life begins, and I am your son.
