Blue Eyes
By Beyond Zion
Wait for me in the gazebo, behind the mountain breeze. Along side the pathways lined with pine trees, and past the yellow glow of the city, where a turquoise sea divides the world. When you get here, sit, and rest your weary legs. When the blizzard passes into a breeze, I will find you. The birds will carry your scent to my nose, and your hunger to my stomach. The mountain will speak to me of your eyes, and the trees of your touch, and the ground of your toil. If you wait in silence, I will hear your breath. If you speak, I will feel the wind shift to your melodies. When I find you, dirty, and spent, I will dress you in the finest silk, and bathe you in the purist of lakes. I will bring you stars for breakfast, and wash your feet in a puddle of tears I gathered from missing you. And when nightshade traces the earth, and your strength returns, I will treat your eyes to breathlessness, to a site only the sky is preview to. To a moment the clouds and stars will keep secret for us. Once it passes, I will carry you into bliss, and wrap you in quilts of love. Follow me to the dream, so I can complete you. So I can show you what hope love brings, and what sorrows you can pass away in my chest. I love you blue eyes, and you don't even know my name.
