If he didn’t look so arrogant, I wouldn’t mind so much, the carton of drink, the wrapper he threw on the floor. But he sits like a plump turkey on a perch, as if he owns the place, as if he could tell each one of us what we should do. But whatever my angst, I know there can be no retribution, know that if he didn’t get away with it, he wouldn’t do it. Oh, I hope there’s double purgatory this morning.
