Crying Getting Louder
By birksy
Crying getting louder, It's all right, I'll hold you close, Feel your sobs wet my shoulders, Feel your heart beat through my clothes. There's a storm, I can hear it rumbling, Hear the air still, then blow again, Watch the light fade as leaded clouds Threaten to douse your growing pain. Now you sleep, you rest your head now, Some strands of hair fall on my face, I wonder whether you may dream of me, The deep dark seed of your disgrace. And the morning draped in blue skies, Enough to burn away the guilt, So when you drive back home tonight, You can breathe in the house that you built.
