Days Full of Words
By birksy
You draw me in, Your smooth skin hiding complexities Twists and turns within. The old, the new The first and last that live upon each other Keep me coming back for more. If I had many lives, I could not read you all, yet for each of you someone will, and keep a phrase, wherever they end up. Wouldn’t it be a shame if your cover was not opened, your spine mercilessly broken and your pages ruffled, maybe smudged. So I, like the shelves beneath you, will support you, and in time you will help me, pass more of these days full of words. Written April 7th, 1998 © on Aug 28 2001 06:51 AM PST, Simon Birks 0 • 12
