Felt Tips And Soap Suds

By birksy

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Close your eyes, lie back, the lights on bright above, I take felt tips from my box of tricks, look at the canvas I have to draw on. It's like drawing on the mona lisa, a beauty in itself, now marked with my intense colours, flows, doodling has never been this good. Upon your body I write words of love, red, and green and blue, a rainbow of words describing you, what you do to my life, and I make you keep your eyes shut, then let you do the same to me, press as firm as you like, I don't mind one bit. Then when we're through our works of art, we know where to go, what we have to do, those pictures may never come through, but our memories and laughs remain vivid. Then, at last, the fun time comes, we get to wash it off, plenty of soap, plenty of pressure, pleasure, soap suds to wipe the boards clean, then wipe them some more, make us complete, and relax at the end knowing tomorrow we could do it all again.
