For Alice
By birksy
This is for Alice, a girl who smiled, who understood, who was fighting all that she could from her wheelchair, hands stiff from illness, still she smiled, had the patience to smile, though she could never speak. This is no ordinary life for her, yet she did not complain, had no anxiety in her eyes, Alice, who could teach us all so much, just smiled, and I smiled back, hope she felt the warmth I felt. This one's for Alice. Written March 4th, 2002 © on Mar 04 2002 05:47 AM PST, Simon Birks 0 • 10
