Fossilised
By birksy
I fire the arrow high into the sky, lie down watch it fall, close my eyes as it hits, a dull thud above my head, and I dig it out to fire again. I could do this all day long, it kinda gets familier after a while, a good friend, this arrow, well, up 'til now, might not be soon. And if I don't come home, won't be long till they find me here, eyes closed, arms holding names, they'll be with me, but don't move me, quite like to be fossilised.
