From So Afar
By birksy
From so afar, I called her, Though silent was my voice, No real chance that she would hear, I had her in mine eye. Then I plead, hardly believing it is me, how had I become this unspoken self? Little by little, the world slowly changed, darker, colder, though it didn’t matter, warm within her thoughts. Now she is near, thoughts are too brittle for this world. I could reach her, if I tried, if I dared, but that is not me, I am the quiet one, the exact science I’ve been from new, so, I’ll just call her from afar, through the constant silence.
