I Kneel In A Skip
By birksy
I kneel in a skip, dust has settled on my shoulders, I wonder how long I've been here, I've done nothing but look down. On my hand there's a spider, got a rumble in his tummy, he can't quite work out how he's gonna eat me up. And the sun's kind of warm my back stopped aching long ago, the wind sometimes chills but it's always served me well. I wonder if they'll move me, must be somewhat in their way, the builders sometimes look at me, before they have their tea. I kneel in a skip, someone's discarded rubbish, hoping that there might be another who needs something just like me. Written March 13th, 2002 © on Mar 13 2002 12:01 AM PST, Simon Birks 0 • 12
