Little Miss Prim And Proper

By birksy

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The picture of prim and proper, she walks with small steps, never dropping her eyes, she glides through the world on her own set of rules, taking in words that she needs to consider, little Miss Prim and Proper. She walks up the road, her list in her hand, moving just enough to do her chores, never smiling at anyone, never a nod or a wave, she’d hate to be thought as an ambler, little Miss Prim and Proper. Then she sits all alone, in her ever clean house, reading aloud from a recent magazine, she pretends there’s a listener, someone who cares, who’d lovingly share her life of no colour, little Miss Prim and Proper.
