Mother And Daughter
By birksy
There’s a mother and a daughter, who sit very close on the bus. I know that they are, mother and daughter, for they don’t speak, just thumb through the magazine, one looking over the others shoulder. They always get on at the same place, day upon day, but in the early evening they board separately, not sitting together, how good to find their own space. The mother and daughter keep looking out for the other. And there’s always a seat to fit in. Written October 29th, 1998 © on Oct 29 2001 04:07 AM PST, Simon Birks 0 • 9
