On The Ledge
By birksy
On the ledge again, been here before, haven’t I? Got a bandage on my toes from all the times they’ve been stepped on, a bandage round my mouth, from all the things I could’ve said, and a bandage across my eyes, from all the things I pretended not to see. On the ledge with just the wind, and the feeling of height beneath me, knowing the trick is to wait for the ground to meet you before stepping off.
