Press Play (1)

Just press play, everything we took to know, let's explain what the hell we were, and never were, one constant stream to dip our toes, let the piranha's have their bloody fill, they'll not understand on what they feed, but perhaps that's not the point. There's a start, but it's buried with guilt you could never forgive, and that's one of those times I could never forget. While we moved, while we began the slow descent I cried and tried to understand that I'd got it all wrong, that you were all right, giving myself the blame, oh that's so how it works when you're a perfect girl. Hello, tap the wood, don't let everything disintegrate, your memory was always so volatile, and I pretended to forget, to overlook the discrepencies, though there was nothing but a quiet life in it for me. And now you cannot control me, you don't speak to me, you search for another to control, and I walk and dance, and smirk on my own terms, and it's the best. Press pause now, time to take a natural break.Something a little different. Written March 8th, 2002 © on Mar 08 2002 02:30 AM PST, Simon Birks   18 • 0 • 10
