So Sweet The Compromise

By birksy

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Snagged on my jacket, can't let you go, hooks just work one way, have to see where we both go. Gonna pull against me, might just rip apart, better do it slowly, that way might just save my heart. Perhaps I'll just go with you, so sweet the compromise, toes step within your footfall, feet plant within your stride. Don't think you can shake me, don't think that you want to, wherever you go, I'll be there, caught, till we never let go.
