Solitude
By birksy
I am in a hollow, deep, so deep, and this solitude makes me brittle, keeps me down, so down. No footholds in the rock, no space to hardly breathe, I am lost within myself, There’s many needs I’ve lost. Hungry for a spoken word, thirsty for a gentle kiss, please come quickly, overhead I hear the morning breeze. And when I wake, if I wake again, and find you near to me, I will call you solitude, and drink my fill of you. Written January 30th, 2002 © on Jan 30 2002 01:50 AM PST, Simon Birks 0 • 12
