Texting
By birksy
Texting his girlfriend, shoulders hunched forward, a man with no plan, for anyone but himself. He feels the nerves, hands shake, as he finds her name, presses send, funny how it’s so similar to his wife’s. But, too late, it’s gone, and he knows what will happen, technology’s just the best invention. And those shoulders, now they hunch up, and he cries a few tears, but don’t be sad, they’re for no-one but himself. Written February 1st, 2002 © on Feb 01 2002 12:15 AM PST, Simon Birks 0 • 10
