The AA Man
By birksy
The AA man stands, About him is no seat, the wares he sells need an upright stance. He’s dressed in clothes so unsuitable That you have to feel sorry, Maybe that’s part of the ploy. But you have to think that there can be nothing else that he can do, No-one would want a job like his? He checks his watch, scratches his ear, Calculates how much he doesn’t make. In forty minutes the only man whose spoken to him, knew him. You can see he wonders why he’s there. Again, he shifts his balls into a more comfortable position. They all seem to be security guards who aren’t secure enough. Whose only assignment can be his umbrella, his stand, his leaflets He can’t last there much longer.
