The Boy At The Back
By birksy
It was me, the boy at the back, no new shoes, no new bike, trying to keep up, just to be liked, not doing very well. I was the back of the queue, staring at my feet, ashamed to be without, still putting on the bravest face, would not admit defeat. And now I drive my nice new car, watch the school kids go to class, that boy at the back makes me smile, he won’t always be last.
