The Only Bore

Nearly there now, step over step, field over meadow, the sun, once high, now sits mainly down, and the noises have dampened into earth. I catch myself thinking that there's nothing new, but I forget who here is the real habitual. Each step is different, but I am not. On this splendid path, I am the only bore.
