The Only Copy I’ve Got

By birksy

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I wonder if you could help me, it’s this photo, you see I wonder if you could reproduce it, on your machines, such clever machines, can you do that? I know it’s a bit old, but it’s the only copy I’ve got, and it was such a magical day, I’ll never forget it, I remember myself saying that even now. You can do it? How splendid, is it possible for me to watch? My son’s into computers, though I don’t see him much now, he’s too busy. Oh, this chair is comfy, yes, I’m watching the screen, I’m very excited, I expect you can tell, what a nice job you must have. He’s my ex-husband, you see, and someone told me, the other day, that he’d died, thought I’d go through our stuff, and there I found it, again. I know he’d like it, my son that is, they were close for a time, I think, closer than they should’ve rightly been. Oh, yes, that’s not bad, at all, good copy, for sure, what a clever machine, now, please, how much does this photo cost me?
