The Tree Has A Kink
By birksy
The tree has a kink in it, bold as brass, smack in the centre, it stands so bent, as if it laughs at the other trees around. I can’t help but wonder what caused this shape, as if it thought twice about what way to grow, perhaps the sun was hidden cold behind the clouds. But it just is, I suppose, a thing of great beauty kinked in the middle, a crooked grin to the world, showing that things are never that straight up and down.
