When I Was Your Everything
By birksy
When I was your everything, nothing mattered to me, I had nothing to be sad about, or cry about, you lit my life and that was all I knew, all I needed, we had such great fun, when I was your everyone. But now, it is not so, now we barely talk, and when I think of the time you sat on the floor, to name all my untitled poems, it makes me cry, for that was special beyond words. How cruel of life to dull our feelings, to force us to understand our differences over the experiences we shared. I remember when I was your everything, and that makes me very, very, sad.
