Wrapped
By birksy
Wrapped, but cold, shallow breath hardly making mist in the narrow alleyway. She cried, but now she’s hardly alive enough to make any sound, quietly looking up to her trash can world. Whilst no one knows she’s there, she’s hardly there at all, won’t be long, and her life will have gone, spread out to the corners, into others, maybe they’ll be better hosts for this pretty soul, maybe she’ll be allowed to find who put her there, exact revenge, but most probably not. I hope I haven’t walked past her today, eyes blinkered forward, I hope I never walk past her, some people don’t realise how lucky they are.
